Since When Has Wicker Looked So Fantastic?
How many times have you seen these chairs either falling apart on your porch or being sold at a garage sale or flea market or even at curbside for free in front of a neighbor’s house? Oh, no, no, my friend, do not pass them up. With very little trouble, you can change these distressed chairs into something magnificent making the neighbors jealous, especially the one who threw their chairs out in the trash!
I primed them, painted them in Sherwin Williams Resilience paint in the color “Sea Salt” and then recovered the cushions in a new print, along with swapping out the back pillows for some larger ones in a pretty coordinating fabric I found at JoAnns.
That’s it! Wow! For a DIYer, this is a no-brainer. These chairs are beautiful, and the new fabric really adds a touch of distinction. The best part is the new bigger fluffy pillows to ease your back into when you sit down. The contrasting seat cushion fabric adds distinction to an otherwise boring, everyday look. Fabulous makeover.
We want to thank Sasha, our lemonademakinmama, for sharing her photos with us. Painting the chairs white provides you with a multitude of ideas you can come up with, including a change of cushions for the seasons. Truly impressive.
